Details - Second Annual Rabun County Farm Winery Day

1-4 p.m. Wine tastings, winery tours and vineyard walks will be offered at Rabun County's three farm wineries—Tiger Mountain Vineyards, 12 Spies Vineyards and Stonewall Creek Vineyard. For the event, each winery will charge $5 for a traditional tasting of their wines, which will include a souvenir goblet. Wine will be available at $5 a glass at all three wineries.. On Farm Winery Day, visitors will learn firsthand how fine "wines are grown" as they walk through vineyards and talk with the winegrowers/winemakers—Mike and Lisa Brown, 12 Spies Vineyards; Carl and Carla Fackler, Stonewall Creek Vineyards; and John and Martha Ezzard, Tiger Mountain Vineyards. Wine tastings, winery tours and vineyard walks will be offered at the county's three farm wineries - Tiger Mountain Vineyards, 12 Spies Vineyards, and Stonewall Creek Vineyard. Stonewall Creek and 12 Spies are opening new tasting rooms at their Rabun County vineyards, joining Tiger Mountain whose first vines were planted in 1995 on the five-generation-old family farm. For the event, each winery will charge $5 for a traditional tasting of their wines, which will include a souvenir goblet. Wine will be available at $5 a glass at all three wineries. Tiger Mountain Vineyard's new Red Barn Café will also be open for lunch or a snack. The majority of grapes featured in the wines are grown in the mountains of Northeast Rabun County. Tiger Mountain Vineyards and Stonewall Creek Vineyards grow 100% of their grapes on local family farms. 12 Spies wines feature grapes from their vineyard and other Georgia vineyards.
